In many areas, gas stations have two-point connections for the tank: one for fuel delivery and the other for vapor recovery. The lower connection of the vapor elbow connects to the gas station via a vapor adapter for the onshore tank, and the upper connection connects to the vapor hose, which returns the fuel vapors to the tanker truck.
